The goal of the Academic Art of Riding
The Academic Art of Riding is the most pure and original way of training and riding horses.
The goal of the Academic Art of Riding is to fully develop the carrying capacity of the hindquarters in order to relieve the front legs and to properly carry the rider. This begins with straightening the horse.
A horse that is straightened can bend its body evenly to both the left and right, can perform all exercises in both directions, can push and carry evenly with its hind legs, and allows itself to be collected and lifted. The horse can perform its work as a riding horse in good health up to an advanced age.
The horse is trained using a logical system of gymnastic exercises. By offering these exercises at the horse’s own pace, at the right moment, and in the correct dosage and quantity, the horse will develop more and more. As a result, it will become straighter, stronger, more supple, and more flexible, and will be able to collect itself.

The exercises offered to the horse are derived from the horse’s natural behavior; in principle, the horse can already perform them. In freedom, you can regularly see this happen during moments of excitement and emotion.
